Just came across this thread now. I never liked targas (coupe guy) until my father and I picked this one up on 12/3/09. We purchased it form someone who didnt really know much about it, so my mind has been spinning trying to sort everything out. I drove it back from the sellers house in PA to Long Island, troublefree, and it was a blast to drive. Now my 84 coupe has the "older brother" it always wanted

It's a 74 with a steel widebody conversion, Weber 40's, IROC front bumper, 18x9&11" Fikse FM10's, Powerhaus exhaust, and the list keeps going.![]() ![]()

Yes, I've not been sick to my stomach for a long time now. 18" wheels have no place on t-bar 911's.

Thanks lpsalsa, much appreciated. Recognize it by any chance? Looking at the previous owners, this car spent some time in MD, PA, & CT.

I think the Targas look much better without a whale tail.

				1981 Targa

I've wanted a 911 Targa since I say my first one as a kid. I'm finally in a place where I can think about owning your average no frills SC. I went into the process of buying my first Porsche with good intentions. Plans for lots of research, PPI, etc. Then I fell in love. Bought her on ebay sight unseen. Flew hundreds of miles to get her and drove her home 10 hours with the top off. What a blast! Best purchase I ever made.
