My 2 cents:
I like this theme- add in some period correct yellow pinstriping (Honest! Penske had a lot of his cars pinstriped ) and the car , though subtle in colors will be super clean looking to offset those very aggressive fenders

Were any modifications required to the rear shock towers? My car is a '69 911S and if I decide to convert to coil overs I always thought the small early rear shock towers made it very difficult. Does upside down mounting fix that?

Yes Imho on a 69 the upside down shocks make it possible, though it is very very tight. My car’s lower ride height made these issues even more critical. Issues regarding cross member / shock tower strength and improved coil spring to shock tower clearances are both being addressed. I'll post photos when that area is closer to completion. Thanks for your interest.

My buddy Vic took some photos of his progress with the engine tin. This is early tin that is being modified to fit the 993 3.6 engine.
Vic is quite capable having completed the Porsche factory 4 year training program back in the 80s. He stayed on for a length of time in Germany building 962 engines at the factory.
Vic wrote...
Yesterday I finished the two short plates. Next I have to add to the rear breast plate and finish the cylinder cover near the oil filter, then the tin will be finished. I also need to fit the ignition wires and drill holes for the lower wires.

Sneak peak flare progress photos taken by Joe the owner at Axiom Motorsport.
Good progress for only 2 weeks.
The front track is about 70 inches with 10.5 inch wide rims.

The rear track is about 73 inches with 13 inch wide rear rims.
Slicks are 14" wide x 27" tall.

Suddenly I feel totally inadequate.

Mike, what was the starting point for those flares? Did he use turbo flares, then extend them?
