Your SC is looking pretty good as it sits. You might want to get the headlight rings color matched though.
The duck tail and the Carrera script you could try. If your going to get a color match for the tail have them at least spray a spare set of headlight rings so you have them. I'm also wondering if the tail and graphics work better on a solid color car? Your looks metallic ? As far as the RS stuff goes..... ![]() |

Do what ever floats your boat. I like the car just the way it is. Great color.
P.S. I'd much rather have a 911T that looks like a T with a RS motor in it instead of a 911T that looks like a RS with a T motor in it. Not that there's anything wrong with a T motor for that matter. I'm a big fan of them actually.

I'll suggest just going for a ducktail, BUT make sure you keep the original. Just change them out to suit your mood.
I'm not sure about the script, although your car might end up proving me wrong, I think that it would look better without. |

Nice thing about vinyl....if you don't care for it...it peels right off.

It might be cool to do a side script cut from a color that is just a tad lighter than your paint for a subtle accent.
Look at RUF bumpers and side treatments too, along with a tail to match. I think these enhancements clean up the car's lines. They may also help with aerodynamics. There is some kind of ran gutter spoiler that cuts some CD points off at high speed. There was the Special Wishes program at Porsche. If I had the cash now my wishes would be: Ruf front and rear bumpers. side skirts from a Carrera2/4. appropriate tail huge oil cooler for the front bumper ruf wheels- tires to go with them de-chrome(my car came with chrome trim) mega squirt front poly bronze upgrade the interior to a lighter scheme (all Porsche parts though) So what if someone cries poser. It's fun. Save the old parts if the market demands original cars at resale. Remove the new and reinstall the old before sale. I kept my cookiecutters for originality's sake. They are stacked in the garage.

as good as your car looks, i'm not so sure i'd want to mess with too much. put me down for the duck & leave the rest as is. oh yeah, i'd get a duck w/lid & save the original as someone here has previously mentioned

What about adding an S in front of the Carrera? then shift the graphic rearward just a hair to realign it properly. Just a thought. I do not think Super Carrera would fit! Anyone seen anything like this before. I think I remember seeing someone say they had a seen a super carrera script somewhere?

beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
The great thing about decals is that they peel off... with a bit of elbow grease as long as they aren't on for a long period of time.
There are many different graphics materials you can use these days. 3M and Avery have made some surprising advancements. Do what you want to your car to make it look cool. Just make sure it's not permanent so that you can bring it back to plain-Jane if you ever decide to sell it. No harm done!

Nice looking car but you should do what you like (always)
I have seen the same car Scott posted from Socal and I loved it; although it was a coupe and not a targa. Ducktails on SCs are great.....

"....as long as you don't present it as anything more than a clone, thats OK. "
Does a decal that says "RS" equate to anything less than presenting it to be something it isn't? Or does it have to be an outright verbal claim? "Sir, is that a real RS?" "Err, no, not really". "Oh, then I suppose it's okay." Same with the Carrera stripes. It might be a Super Carrera, but it's not a Carrera or an RS which the side logo signifies. BTW, can someone point to Porsche literature that says SC stands for Super Carrera? I don't know. Here's a '76 Mustang II with some pedigree striping. What is this trying to say? ![]() Install the ducktail. If you didn't realize it yet, it's functional. As a bonus, it looks good too (MHO). But to each his own. I was tossing around similar issues....I added a Duck tail....decided against the side graphics....and had a new tail graphic designed using an original RS logo with a twist.....it is hard to read in the photos....but is says "Carrera 3.2"
