I thought that is what you meant, however I wanted to clarify for those as easily confused as me that my car does shift (through the gears) fine. No harm no foul...

 My conversion....

Actually it is a 3.8 n/a. Yes I drive it on the street... sometimes. Even with the numbers on it. And yes it has a 915.... And.. yes it is light... weighs about 1950.

Fiberglass body, except roof which is carbon fiber. Polycarbonate windows... (NOT plexiglass).... F/R coilovers... Misc. other bits and doo dads for racing. A pretty simple and cost-effective car that I occasionally drive on the street...

Kudos to you for acheiving that... But please don't come and patronize me with "a pretty simple and cost-effective car that I occasionally drive on the street..." and "it's not very hard with a 911!" to get a street car to 1950lbs, a 993 widebody at that. If you like to share more information we can all benefit from it and admire your car... but "other bits and doo dads for racing" doesn't cut it for me... Sorry about the rant but it feels like you are taking the piss... Last edited by 911teo; 10-12-2005 at 01:07 PM..

Wait a second Mike - fiberglass body, carbon-fiber roof, coil-overs, (especially the) other misecellanous do-dads for racing AND cost effective don't belong in the same thought here. As Matteo says - Kudos for achieveing that - well done. Its plausable that all of that probably gets it down to 1950 but, simple AND cost effective - common now. I guess it's all realtive.....

OK since veryone is parading their individualized and itemized improvements the real two remaining questions need to be asked and answwered: 1) how much did you spend on the conversion? 2) what is the REAL difference in power and accelleration put down onto the pavement as a direct result from the transplant? ie: like day and night or moderately immproved? antares fatnwide
