More undeniable proof as to why Aaron's 914-6 never runs...he blows all of his mustard on other cars.

This car is in the paintshop at the moment, and Gary Stratton is gluing up a ducktail for us!
We expect it back at the beginning of the year to button it up - there will be lots of Kodak moments! |

Teaser from Paint Shop from this morning:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1299864502.jpg Looks like reassembly is only a few weeks away... Just in time for our new location Open Haus/Grand Opening on April 16th! ;) Paint is being handled by Import Paint and Body in CLT, BTW. |

How did you manage to fit those rims under a C2 based car? Did I miss something or did you make some major changes to something to get those to work? Thanks Mike |

This thread as well as the C4 to RSR thread is going to cause me to spend a lot of money. hahaha I do love a project and the money isn't that bad until you get to the wheels.

Keith, may I ask what you guys did to hide the oil lines that run below the rockers?
Mike |
Mike, just saw your question (s)
First, the wheels pictured don't fit. Well, barely, with a lot of camber. Those were 'borrowed' from 911Teo for a few moments... They are configured for 930 fitment, IIRC... We'll be running our wheel product on this one, should fit a bit better but still have a fair amount of dish to maintain the illusion of an early car. The fronts are going to be interesting, with that goal in mind. Second, I don't believe we intend to hide the oil lines - this thing should appear for all the world as an RSR-modified '72, era-correct warts and all (unless the owner changes direction on the finishing details.) The pictures are of the stripped, modified, e-coated, powder coated and now painted tub. This car will be back in our shop in time for our April 16th Open Haus, if anyone is interested in checking it out. We'll be making strides in reassembly toward the end of the month. Assembly should be uneventful until we get to the dash stuff - lots of newer tech to backdate and stuff into the earlier dash core. |
