Keith, Thanks for the info.

I guess I should have gone to your website. I will be getting in contact with you on some wheels for my project as well. I really wish there was some way to get a set of 16" fuchs in the correct offset to work on a WB 964/ RSR clone. I like the RSR with more rubber than the 17" wheels allow for and I also want my car to have the wheels tucked as much as possible as well as sit nice and level rather than the tail up stance. My glass parts should be in middle of next week and Then I will start the transformation process. I will be getting in touch with you guys soon on the wheels and who knows what else.

Thanks
Mike

Ed it was good to see you this past weekend. As Keith mentioned some wheel fitment action just forced me to drag out the camera vs iPhone. They look great.

Looks great! I was eager to see the finished product last weekend! The rain must have held off the reveal!
Can't wait to see it all done.

wonderful a very nice job

Looks nice. Tyres are a bit low profile for my tastes but other than that looks great.

I am upset I missed the open house on Saturday would have enjoyed seeing this car (and the shop now that it is fully operational) in person. Nice to see you guys are still turning out incredible machines. This is going to be an incredible little RSR when all is said and done.

ERH 04-20-2011 04:33 AM

Saturday was fun and given tornado warnings the open house was well attended.

Nice Shop

The new place looks great, congratulations. Much roomier than the old one.

Is that Keith May's car on the left in the last pic above?

-e.

That's the Mary Stuart, ready to go out for scanning and digitizing the left side body work for mold production.

I'll have to post pictures on that thread of the increase in fender width (version II) - the client decided to make it as close to the real thing as we could, working from photos and the 'net.

Working on Center Locks for that project as well.

But again unsuccesfull from a packaging(they are hard to find room to mount) and thermal management perspective

Some cars use a separate caliper for parking brake, like Carrera GT

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201892230.jpg

But a line lock for the existing caliper is easier and lighter.

Here is the McLaren/Porsche open wheel racer. Kinda looks like two calipers here. If so, why would they do this? Am I missing something or should I just lay off the pipe a bit...? :)

Did this car ever get finished .....or am I missing another thread somewhere??

eimkeith 04-09-2012 03:35 AM

Good morning!

At the moment, Hartmut at NHS is working his craft on the instruments for this project, and we're applying sound-deadening to the chassis - neither of which is terribly photogenic...

More photos as the more exciting things are photographed.

I cannot wait to see how this car ends up. Such a long project, but it should be well worth the wait.
