pics tuesday.

we're looking into retro seating and doing some miscellanous rust removal in these front fenders, then mock assembly for final fabricating before powder coating the chassis. should have some neat iamges of a full assembled, raw metal 72 RSR!

Anyone had any experience with the new Becker Mexico (http://www.becker.de/beckerCC21/www...jsp?language=En) - seems to accomodate most needs (sat nav. mp3, ipod, bluetooth etc) with a classic 70's period interface, albeit at a price.

Does anyone know of a US source? Google is failing the test
There is one on ebay but it ships from Europe (and US maps do not seem to be supported) but I love the look.

Thanks.

Is that bare metal or primer? How did you get the body in this condition?

bake?

Dip?

chemical strip?

bake, wash, blast, then phosphate wash. (the phosphate is the intermediate coat before powder coat.)

we're assembling in phosphate to finish the little fab work, brackets and plugs and such, before color coat.

when it returns to ther coater, disassembled, they will blast and re-phophate wash it before final powder coat.

then it will go to the paint shop (chassis).

So there are lots of SC's and Carrera's updated to C2 look or even 993TT. Then there are C2's backdated to look like longhood cars. And now here come some real Frankenstein creations with bits and pieces from different periods.... I love it. 911teo and now this one. Awesome fabwork. Keep it up.
