A few more.
![]() ![]() ![]() Peter, any idea what the fine for 115 in a 45 is on the Cape? Thank goodness that cop in the median wasn't a mile closer to Ptown. ![]() I made it home - Ptown to Wakefield in 2hrs and 15 min. Not bad considering Sandwich to Wakefield is an hour and a half. I'm guessing that same drive in the summer would take 4 and a half hours. ![]() That was a fun day guys, see you next time. ![]()

glad to see you all had fun! 6 or 7 is the perfect number for a run I would think. Looks like everyone ran solo i.e. no "balast" sitting shotgun? That I am sure is the best way to exercise a Porsche... 1 man and 1 Great Machine!!
I hope to run with you all soon. Anyone know someone selling a fix-er upper? Bob

SEMBC Cape Cod Run
Jim,
Great shots of the day! It did work out well with the number of cars. Thanks to all who took the chance with the weather. Twisty roads, wet leaves, sandy washouts, 79Turbo leading the way (and the only one knowing the roads), and a bunch of ass heavy cars tooling around. I was sweating more that Youkalis does at the plate! I'll post something for Nov. when I recover from yesterday. Paul

Thanks for the pics! It was great hooking up with you guys yesterday.
What we've done with larger groups is have a "lead off" driver every 5 cars or so, for when the group does get cut-up (Like the SUV that barrelled out of the rest stop right in the middle of the grouping later in the day). Jim, that was neat seeing Peter zooming to catch up. Was surprised the LEO in the median after departing the state park didn't have you two for dinner! I have larger pics hosted up online (plate #'s not blanked out or anything yet), will leave you with this one of Jack's "S"... ![]() Would be honored to tour with all of you again!

Hello Boy's:
Man I enjoyed that! I have never met a Porsche owner I did not like. That instant camaraderie. You get 6 guy's together from 6 completely different walks of life with only Porsches in common , and bang instant friendships. November isn't soon enough. Jim, when I looked down at my speedo I saw 130 before we braked . I could not stop smiling when seconds later we cruised past that trooper at 65 Peter

Jim,
115 in a 45 = $700 + what it does to your insurance. Looks like a nice ride. Joe

I would have made it out to the cape, but the weather did not look very stable.
I'll keep watching this thread and try to be there for the next run. I'm not far from Jim so hopefully we can cruise out together. Add John Adams to the mix and we got it going on ![]()

The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. For those of you that missed last weekend( it was a blast!) - I'd like to get a few cars together this saturday and drive North to Lake Sunappe. There is a shop up there ( series 900). We could drive to the lake, take in the views, have lunch and spend some time at the shop checking out the cool projects he has going on. Paul - you in ? Anyone else. A morning blast off will put us there mid AM with plenty of time to relax and have a great drive.

Jim,
That sounds like a great ride. I have a family commitment Sat. afternoon so I think that would be a little much, time wise. However, I have started working on laying out the Nov. run. I'm going to head out early, early Sat. AM and start laying out the run. If you would like to join me Sat. let me know, I plan on being in Mansfield area aroun 7:30.I've had several requests to hit the Myles Standish State Park in Plymouth. We did one road through there in Aug. - and had a ball. The camping season is at the end so it is very quiet there now. I'm thinking of starting the run in Mansfield area, heading down through Lakeville and across through Plymouth and stopping at the harbor for lunch. We might even see some Pilgrims. The views certainly won't be like the ones from last Sat. That Cape run has to definately be a yearly event! regards, Paul

Southeastern Ma. "Breakfast Club"
OK, guys, my nerves have recovered from last Sat. and I'm moving on. Set my crews up yesterday and spend the afternoon scoping out the Nov. run. Would like to do it on Sat. Nov.10th. We would meet in Berkley, Ma. Junction of Rt. 24 and 140. This run would go down through Lakeville, Middleboro,Carver and end in Plymouth. Throw on the Sticky rubber because there are some great twisties! I'll forward further info as we get closer. A couple of co-pilot, naviagators would be helpful as I think Jim & Freds' idea of having a lead car every six cars would be helpful in traffic areas, difficult to read directions alone.
Here are a few more shots from the Oct. run. Again, Many thanks to Peter Smith for a great layout! Going nowhere--------Quickly, Paul ![]() ![]() ![]()

Jim,
Just because you are the first to reply, does not in any way mean that you get the extra beer tickets. We have been through that before! However, thank you for your quick response. Paul

This implies that you have been holding out on the beer tickets ..... I suspected as much. Next time you have to empty your pockets at lunch.

Jim,
It is clearly evident that you have not noticed that my drivers' seat is as close to the steering wheel as possible. They don't call me alligator arms for nothing! Paul

Bob,
Glad to see you got out to the AutoX, you had mentioned on the Sept. run that was you intention! Nice shot, weather looked dreary. Jim Logan and I spent some time yesterday laying out the Nov. 10th run, beautiful day, we have some great roads for the run. Hope you can make it. Paul
