Yeah, we got some stinkin badges!!!

OK< this is weird... the guy emailed me today and said the badges were being sent today by USPS Priority shipping... well, either USPS has become extremely efficient (nahhhhhhh!), or he meant to say they should be here today... cause that's what they did. They showed up today... At least 60 of them anyway. As you can see in the pics, they came very well packaged...

The reason I bring up the packaging is because I planned to engrave each one with your associated number(s)... I can still do this if you really want it, OR I can just get the things shipped out. You know your numbers ( I included it with your invoice, and it will be with a copy of your invoice when I ship them out as well). I am going to plan to just ship them out unless I hear from you directly about your badge.

I have not inspected each badge, but have spot checked one from each group of 10 badges. If you get yours and there is something wrong, pleae let me know promptly.

Here are some omre pics to enjoy.

Will the invoice be sent with the order? I did not have my number listed on the email I received. Thanks!

Yes, the number will be with the invoice I include when I ship you the badge.

I do not mind at all engraving them with my engraver (nothing fancy mind you - just by hand), but I know some have been chomping and the bits, so i thought I would throw it out there.

Thumbs up

Where would you put the engraving on the badge? I see no place on the front for it, and I can't remember if we discussed earlier where to put it. IF you were to only put the number on the back of the badge, I see no use in having the badge numbered.

Another question: will you also include a list in the shipping with all the "members" and their numbers?

Thanks for all your work!!! Nice job!!

Well, the number idea was just a novelty, and I was just going to put it on the back. I might go ahead and do it anyway... give my teenage son an opportunity to help out and earn a few bucks.

As far as the member ID's, I guess I will leave that up to the members to decide. Not a totally big deal to me, but I would not assume anything in that area. Maybe it is not a big deal to anyone, but what I suggest is a thread in OT to place your member id/number on a post. Or, when the website is ready, it can be part of the registry we would like to put on there. Sorry, it (website) is still in the works, because I have not had time to give Bob what he needs from me to move forward. Also, similar story on the shirts and decals. I have 2 printers that are supposed to have quotes to me any day. That has been the story for the last 3-4 weeks. Apparently, everyone is busy... I hope things are going to settle down at work after the next week or two, and I can give this deal a little mroe attention.

Snapper, I should have a few extras. Email me at vanweys@charter.net and I will put you in line and see what is left. There is also a possibilty to get a few more if needed, but I think there will be enough for now.

Lynn, thanks. And stop making me miss Montana/Idaho!

I could have mine without number if there will be a delay in shipping for that work.

I think this idea with the info on the website will probably be a good solution, because I see no use of belonging to a "club" where all the other members are complete strangers until you see their cars .

Thanks again for all your effort in this matter!

I really can't wait to put this onto my tray next to the badge for Porsche Club Sverige, which is similar in appearence.

(and I really like being number FOUR on the list, hihihi)

I like the idea of having the number on there. I can see it now: in 2027, when I take it off to clean it, I'll say, "I wonder what this number is for?"

So, I'm in, Shane, number for me. Thanks...Jack

V8 Ranch,

I did not get an invoice (that I can find). If you still have a badge set aside for me send me a pm.

Thanks,

Fred Cook

I like the idea of the number. It's that little extra - (difference between ordinary and extraordinary)

Shane, I'll take mine without numbers too, I wouldn't want to affect the value of the badge with numbers. Besides, I planned to put my car's name on the back anyway. Thank you for your hard work and effort. And to whoever did the artwork, that is one of the nicest looking badges I have seen...Ever!

Guys, a quick update. Life is crazy busy right now but I am supposed to be off on Friday. My plan is to get this first 60 shipped out by COB Friday at latest. I am still trying to get my ducktail I sold boxed properly to ship. Just not enough hours anymore...

Glad everyone likes them. This was fun, but more administrative work than I thought it would be. Still hoping to get the shirts and decals going as well. It's a long story...
