Thanks for the compliments guys! Having a little trouble getting the gearbox/clutch adjusted properly (looks like there may be a fault in the newly rebuilt box!). But here's another video of the car running with an exhaust system on this time

That sounds like one mutha of a car! I can't wait to hear what it's like to drive - you must keep us posted. The trouble with reading about projects like this is that it makes my winter project of fitting SSIs and a Wong chip seem very tame!

+1 on the driving impressions. I am curious how well it hooks up on SC rubber. I have mine on the stand now putting on the conversion parts. I am probably 2-3 weeks from completion.

Mr Huebler, the kit was about $3500 (this included a new clutch kit). Funny you should revive my thread today, as I was just about to post an update! I had major problems with the clutch, and in the end gave up and trailered the car to a specialist. They dropped the engine and box, and discovered that the pressure plate was faulty (a centerforce unit supplied by Patrick Motorsports). They phoned me earlier today to say that the car is now fully operational after installation of a sachs power clutch. Hopefully I'll be collecting the car early next week! Can't wait for that first drive

Managed to collect the car on Friday Everything working well, no issues on the 60 mile journey home. Boy does it shift now! The torque is just amazing, pulls very strong in every gear, fantastic! Took it out again today and took some video:

That car looks and sounds awesome! Fantastic! You must let us know more about what it's like to drive when you can - I'm dying to know more about what it's like. Is the improved performance significantly better than with the 3.2? And is was it all worth the conversion costs/hassle? And how does it compare performance-wise to the 930 you had? Wow - what a fantastic car. It looks a beauty.
