Need more details for the 3.0 sc engine

Hi Guys,

My 1974 Porsche has had vast evolutionary developments in terms of its body, electrics and interior and engine (from 2.7 to 3.0 sc) , but I still have no record of the engine's manufacture year and other particulars (ie headstud bolts).

Furthermore, curious about headstuds and their failure rates I'd put the question to the engineers at Porsche, which yielded to popping open the boot to show the engine, the engineers commented that mine having the late crankcase (which was used for the 3.2 carerra ) was more likely to have the late head studs (non devilar types) which I would like to confirm.

Would any of you guys know if there is a website where I can type the engine code into (which is "63D1215") and get the manufacturing details (particulary the year) ?

Cheers

Yes, an SC engine(930/10) it will have the standard 1/2 and 1/2 dilivar oem. When that engine was originally built they were experimenting w/ different coatings on the studs
