NO WAY!!!!
Awesome score (and great wife), you deserve it. Please keep it 100% stock, and keep the blog alive with all the uniqueness that is the 959. (you suck )

I need some of that voodoo to work on my wife - I'm guessing you'll be buying that house pretty soon.

Wow, what a cars. Good luck with it.
When I looked at one locally I was amazed at how spartan and simplistic it appeared. Very unique.

I'm curious, How many 959's are actually running around in the US?
20-30? More? I've heard Bill gates has one, Jerry Seinfeld probably has one also - wait a minute ther's two copies of the "101 projects book already... |

Wow, nice buy. I might have a picture where you can see it sitting in the Porsche parking lot in Stuttgart...
In Nov. of 87 I went to Germany for the first time for the company I work for. Been there many times since that time. On a weekend I went to Stuttgart to see where Porsche is. On a parking lot in the back, there was 20 to 30, 959 park side by side. What a sight... will always remember that day.

I saw this when you first posted it , wanted to reply but need rest . Got hurt working on one of those damn "P" cars .
Great score and a fine/rare car . Even though I'm an east coaster let me say " Way Cool " Wayne . I'll be ordering some more parts from you so you can do a few things to your car . ( Or put it in to funds for your kids ) Congrats ! SxS

Awesome!
If you send it up here to Canepas for work at anytime I'd like to be the first to offer to keep an eye on it for you, take her out for the occasional spin to keep her lubed. You know, more like property management. ![]() Only you wouldn't have to pay for the services.![]()

Very cool! Good for you, Wayne! Approximately what is the range of cost of such a car (anyone)?

150-300k in your currency??
Depending on the usual factors including whether it is a 'comfort' or 'sport' model. The latter are very rare and thus dearer.

Congratulations on the new car Wayne.
Hopefully you plan on driving it, instead of letting it sit in a temperature controlled environment while wiping it with a diaper every week.

Oh Wow! What a coincidence. I used to have a black '87 too, (except mine was a 924S).
Officially, in my books you are now "Mr. Dempsey". Seriously, Wayne. That is a fantastic automobile. Porsche's ne plus ultra of the 1980s and still a storming-take-no-prisoners-kick-a$$ car today. Congrats on getting this one back where it belongs: on the road. Les
