Also look into Nickies as an alternative to Mahles if you want something other than the standard configurations http://www.lnengineering.com/

Less brakes, more gas!

You may find it easier to get a whole newly manufactured set rather than an OEM set. When I was looking to replace my one blown piston it took me months to find the right one and then it cost me $250... used... I never found a whole set, but I have seen 1 or 2 since then.
Best regards, Michael

That's why I went with a 3.2.
But if you want the 9.8, 3.0 I too would go with ln engineering. Everything I've seen of theirs was pure top notch.

You expected otherwise?
JMO but if you are rebuilding a 3.0 w/ no constraints by class rules, you might as well use 98mm Motorsports Mahles, they aren't that much more expensive

Where do you find the mahle motorsports 3.0 or the In eng. for that matter?
thanks, I am buliding a street motor to run on 91 oct. gas with some open track days. If a 3.2 conversion will work with 91 gas I would also go that way. I have a 78 3.0 with matching heads and runners |

You don't want a single plug 9.8:1 98mm bore on California's piss-water 91 octane gas.
