How did U guys solve the front bumper bar Question?
Did it end up with the bar delete,? Did anyone go for the 993 aluminum or the911 aluminum bumper bar?

I'm currently in the middle of a 3.6 conversion. Mine has the bumper bars deleted.

sorry mr gilbert if i offended you but the front fenders you have look like 993 fenders but are not unless you put spacers on whiches raises the front of the hood, also a 964 style front bumper will not work on a 993, on the rear you still have sc type tail lights, the rear quarters and openings for the tail lights are different between the 993 and sc/964 tail light openings. unless you cut the opening out the best you can do is 964 tail lights, my sc with 964 stuff, Kevin

No offense taken, and i am not Mr Gilbert, its Don, or dude or whatever, I have 993"""style""" fenders, and I want 993 taillamps to match my 993 headlamps, why wont they work? I see them on every other conversion, what has to be done to make em work, thats is the question i asked in the first post. the yellow car with the rs wing at the top of the page has them, and its an SC, so i know it can be done.

look at the corners they are round, i believe the width is way wider too. i just think itll be a major rework to get them to fit, the whole rear fender and tail light shape is different, you will be suprised at the change up to c2

Kevin, Love the color! do you have pics or links to you 3.6 conversion? I'm in the middle of gathering everything I saw a bunch of posts when you did yours.

I dont like the c2 lamps. I just searched and found a dozen or so sc, carreras, and other early cars with 993 taillamps. How much hacking is involved Kevin.

don i know the rear fenders are different and the rear deck is different, i couldnt find any sc with 993 tail lights i do admit i like the 993 tail lights,

Unless you are a good metal or glass guy, forget about 993 rear lights without new quarter panels, bumper and center reflector panel.

All the SC's or anything earlier than '95 that you found on your search have been fitted with the right parts to accept the lights. They have been properly updated. I've never seen an earlier car with just the tail lights of a 993 and no others related updating. It'd look kinda strange IMO.

Link is not working. I have a similar car, Built the heck out of a 88 Mistubishi Starion drove it for a few hundred miles, and now it sits, the fun was in the build. Every once in a while I take it for a spin around the block to make sure the turbo still spins!
But the 993 conversion will be a semi daily driver.

got the 3.6 conversion installed, should have it up and running this weekend, then I can finish the body
