Yet another turn signal problem thread

I found a lot of threads about this in the archive but none specifically about my problem, turn signals work perfectly, until the parking lights or headlights are turned on. The the lefts still work fine, but both the front and rear passenger side turn signals come on but don't flash.

Additionally, when the lights are on, both interior arrows flash when the left side turn signals are turned on, and when the right side signals are on, both arrows come on but don't flash.

Also, when the parking lights or headlights are on, the right side turn signals come on but don't flash even if not turned on at the switch

First step I guess is to check fuses, bulbs, and grounds, but does this sound like anything specific to anyone? Suggestions?

Had very similar problem. Checked all the wiring, grounds, fuses, ect.
I was the FLASHER RELAY! Waited till last resort, due to the price of the damn thing, but finally broke down and bought one. VOILA! MAGIC!

Make certain the fuses are properly seated and clean contacts or re-tension the bracket for the fuses.

similar to my current, undiagnosed problem. Turn lights on, turn signals don't work. Previously I found that the PO had unplugged and then hidden a wire from the turn signal to the hazard flasher switch. Connecting this wire made the turn signals function again. I'm traveling now, but will investigate further on my return. Car is a '75 Targa S.

I'm thinking hazard relay or something like that? Turn switch and lights all work great, just not together.

If anyone has the same problem and is following the thread, it was caused by the right front parking/turn signal assy being rewired wrong, after the PO's repaint last summer I am assuming, local independent Porsche repair place fixed it after I had checked the fuses, etc. So I'm mostly ready for warm weather, just a lot of cleaning to do
