Good for you. Lately, I find myself planning out my idea 930, and many of the modifications I would perform you already did. The pic of it from behind in your driveway with no rear bumper or engine cover is awesome. You should legally be allowed to drive it on the road that way.

This is an incredible build. As I go through and read these build threads, there is always something I can find that I would do different or change. Not this one! What an amazing job with attention to detail and top notch fabrication.

Congrats! What an incredible car! I hope you will post some of the tuning results.

Howdy Mottley great progress your making

It looks now like it used to have A/C but your new intercooler might have caused you to forgo A/C by no more room for the decklid condenser

You might be interested in what I am doing & working on related to 911 A/C new technology PF condensers to make COLD I will market soon?

I custom make 911 new design Hi=Tech PF A/C condensers (PFC). I make Parallel Flow Micro-Channel Condensers for 911's front and rear

At the moment I am doing a project for modified 94 RSA retro-fitted with a 73 fiber retro-look body kit & custom hand made set of PFC's front and rear (skip down to the first Gray RSA picture to start reading about this project that will be finished very soon with reports

Wow Richard you got a lot done after I left that day! Thanks again for letting me share in your project. Give me a call sometime when you take that bad boy out for a run. Stunning car. 580-3932

Will you be at the PCA breakfast at Lujack's next week by chance?

Steve

Where did the summer go?

After a busy summer with family and work I finally managed to get the car off to CS Motorsports to have the chassis aligned and the engine dialed in on their Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno.

Overall the car performed well and made some good numbers. At 1 bar of boost it made 427 RWHP at 4,800 rpm on 91 pump gas. The twin turbos were able to make 10psi of boost at 3,700 rpm with full boost being achieved at 4,000 rpm. I will post the dyno charts once I scan them.

Drivability is surprisingly good and acceleration is incredibly violent. The car is quite a handful at 1 bar so I am content to keep it at this level until I get used to it.

Here are some recent pictures of after dyno tuning:

Hey Richard I saw you coming up the 20 hill to Barington yesterday in this beauty. I shot you a thumbs up but I was in my Lexus not 930 so I doubt you saw me. Absolutely stunning!!

Wow, what a beauty! Fantastic job on execution, Richard.

So, what is the icing (tail or wing) on your intercooler cake?

Hi Steve - hope you are going well and enjoying the Iowa summer. Thanks for the compliments and sorry I missed you - I was too busy watching the road and the gauges - ha-ha

Thanks Mark and good question. I found the mother of all intercooler "icing's". It is currently out for painting and I should have it back within the next week. I will post some pictures once I have it fitted.

BTW, i see your glasswork to get the tail better at the fender jxn. Don't worry, even the factory tails never fit great here.

Hi Juice - the Mjolnir is looking good. Those rear tires look insane. You need to post some pics of those wheels.

The damn gaps in the rear of the lid just didn't look right and were a PITA to try to fill in. I managed to make a considerable amount of fiberglass dust in the process of trying to fix it. What they say about welding is also true for fiberglass work - before you become good at it, you first need to become good at grinding.

The tail is currently getting painted and I will hopefully get it mounted just before the snow hits.

Motley 911 - YouTube

Here is a video of Richard's first test run at CS Motorsports after dyno tuning. Nothing much, but it gives good idea how the car sounds at lo idle. Richard passed my 996TT on the highway and i was sure to have the windows down to hear the car under load, it sounds amazing.

Also helps if you have a single stage black car, lol

Nice vid, gotta feel good to be finally tooling and spooling

Forgeline worked with us to produce something different than what is out there, a unique 'DZug' signature wheel that converts the 5-bolt to centerlock

We are running it on this car 19x14R with 355 PZ's,

Awesome. I move away from Dubuque to Colorado for Euro Car and weather splendor, and some Aussie with crazy Porsche build moves in.

Rock on, dude. Keep building. Been to the Lux Club? Heh.
