When checking oil where should needle be on temperature guage?
Should it be by the red? In the middle? Just trying to get a proper read.

about 194 degF.... typ 8 o'clock. All gauges are a bit different. Helps if you post which model year car you have.
Tip....ALL 3 things needed for proper oil level reading. 1.) on level ground. 2.) engine running ...at temp ( 194 degF) 3.) engine running at approx idle speed.... 800 RPM +/- . Even 1100 will cause a dip ( level gauge) down into red zone.

This will help you convert needle position into degrees C
911 Gauge module overlays Then you can decide what temp is OK for your conditions. Great product BTW
