The build # will be close to 9200. I have some info on either 3080003 or 3080005 but the photo is poor so it is hard to make a clear determination.

GREAT!!
Either 3080003 or 3080005 was supposed to be 9216, so I suspect that it was 3080003.
The build # is a serial # that is independent of the various type #'s. An example is a shop that produces two or more products with serial #'s at the same time. The build # counts the product going out the door, while each model is individually serialized.
build / serial
1 / A001
2 / B001
3 / B002
4 / A002
5 / A003
6 / A004
7 / B003

So around build 9200 the 1968 models begin to be produced.
Around 12100 the aluminum cases are no longer produced.
Around 27000 the 2.0 engines for 911 are complete at the end of the 1969 model year, and the system is discontinued. There are some experimental engines and racing engines that got build #'s as well.
