While the 915 is out. What else should I do
Now that the cleaning phase is completed, while I will not be going in... beside replacing the Guide Tube O ring and Shaft Sealing Ring, anything else I should consider.

I would at least put a new throwout bearing and pilot bearing in. Cheap insurance. Inspect the arm really good for cracks or warpage. The plastic bushings for the pivot are easly replace to.

I really like the picture where half is clean. Shows a dramatic difference. What did you use as a cleaner?

I'd also look at either replace the trailing arm bushings or installing monoballs.

Re-facing flywheel and replacing the rear crankshaft seal is an option.

+1. I would at mimimum take the pivot shaft out, and grease it with good grease. There is a very special grease for the clutch splines. The splined shaft section must be clean, and make sure the two slide smoothly.

got your pm jj, and noticed in your garage that "the babe" has a 3.2 . this flywheel is for a 3.0 engine. You need to find out if it will work on the 3.2. it might, i just dont know.

OK
I'm taking advise on this one but... I'm afraid that I know the answer. While the clutch brige the 83/86 year, the flywheel seem to be more specific; 911 Flywheel (1974-77), New Brand: OEM [More Info] 911 Flywheel (1978-79), New Brand: OEM [More Info] 911 Flywheel (1980-83), New Brand: OEM [More Info] 911 Flywheel (1984-86), New Brand: OEM [More Info] 911 Flywheel (1987-89), New Brand: OEM [More Info] I hate passing a good deal...
