He leaves them other cars standing.....

if you google for Biene Maya and Porsche, you'll find a car that is still over a minute faster...

Turbo. Straight cut gears whine. Stack instrument display. Single wiper in the up position. Probably sporting race slicks. And proper fist waving at slower cars who don't get out of the way!

Yep...it's a big dog at the track. But except for several M3s, those are mostly 2liter cars?

Apparently, just practice laps in that video.

Here's race footage; Nurburgring, I believe. P1 isn't too shabby:

How may cars do you have to wreck to get that good?

Wow. Must be demoralizing for the other cars.

It must have been P1 in class. I noticed some ALMS prototype vehicles in that mix. I doubt his 911 is faster. I also doubt the in-car footage was of the race with him in front with no one ahead, but this is the ring - it's a long course.

...might want to bring along a spare pair of shorts....

Hey Glen, I bet you'd get a kick out of my Dads (now mine) old PCA grille badges and the glass with enamel cutaway view 356 ashtray. I'll take some snaps one day.

What video were you watching? The first one is a VLN race or 24 hours of Nordschleife. There were lots of hatchbacks and some BMWs but the film car is a 996 GT2 or therabouts. Highly modified, turbocharged 996. There are no prototypes (like a 956) in either the VLN or 24 hour race

Okay, I might have mistaken the track, but there are clearly no cars in a higher class on that first video. Powning small displacement, naturally-aspirated cars is fine for bragging purposes, but perhaps we shouldn't get too carried away with that accomplishment.

I was mainly responding to your statement "I noticed some ALMS prototypes in that mix." I saw no prototypes.

I agree with your statement "I doubt his 911 is faster."

I reviewed the video I posted and I stand corrected. I must have been referring to another video. Sorry to mislead.

The track was in fact the Ring, both the old and new course run together. My guess is some sort of track day.

This is the car: GT2 RSR?
