And especially make it in an airly place, because the "neoprene" Glue http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/puke.gif http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/5494/intrieur3.jpg http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7975/intrieur4.jpg for an idea of the final result http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/6756/intrieur7.jpg I also started my driver door panel to drill fixing holes and handle RS. http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/7808/intrieur6.jpg .............................................. be back soon http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/wavey.gif |

Well always no wings, the carrier takes his time.
but today i have received a big piece of my Skai, I am going to be able to finish my doors panel. today i have receive too, my shift linkage cover, http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/5747/plaque1w.jpg all dimensions are ok so now i have just to drill the 18 holes. http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/5198/plaque2.jpg To obtain a thing like this but in black http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...nnline/i01.jpg |
Well I finished my plate.
The first one drilling in 2mm after have punched every place http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/7216/plaque3.jpg Then final drilling in 10mm (size for the passage of the turn of the screw of the tool allowing to make perfect holes) http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/5917/plaque4j.jpg Final tapping http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/9748/plaque5.jpg The result with the small tool very practical. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/7379/plaque6.jpg Then a small blow of mallet blows up for the good finish and it is completed. next stage before mounting , black paint. |
After a moment of "Farniente", i'll be back to continue the works on Froggy.
I always wait for my wings fronts (lost somewhere in Europe by DHL, investigation is launch to know where they are) and without them impossible to the exterior. Wings rear will be weld the 22 july. I thus continued the inside. I keep my panel of "isorel" which I had redone not a long time, i keep the hole of the speaker who for the moment stays in the garage but if later I want to put it back i can. Thus "test to white" of all the panel http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/6...0709164433.jpg Then preparation of the Skaï for fixation on the panel http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/263...0709165829.jpg Organized by the "non-weaved" which allows to have a "soft" effect on the panel but without having too much thickness. http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/4...0709170228.jpg We attack then the assembly: http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/250...0709170651.jpg http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/163...0709171344.jpg http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/776...0709172147.jpg And now an attractive panel : http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/6...0709172204.jpg I take advantage of it to change the joints which were of time !!!!!! http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/8...0709175717.jpg And assembly of the panel http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/8...0710183022.jpg I had painting the the rear cover for the Gear mechanism http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/786...0710173912.jpg |
The inside begins to turn to what I wish
http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/6...0710173835.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/137...0710192530.jpg The next stages: - Manufacturing of the support of electrical cut switch which will go instead of the ashtray - Manufacturing of the support stopwatch which will go to the place of the radio set (but removable cause so later i want take some sound), it should look like that: http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/2600/chrono1.jpg - Manufacturing of mats rubber for the front, I found the manufacturer of the rubber in plate he will not have there more than the cut to be made. http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/7724/pelrsmat1.jpg Then small break with my fellow Cyrille and his great toy ................. ah if I was rich!!!! http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/8...0709195611.jpg Then i start the cleaning of the over fenders for take it in paint and has to be finish for in 22 .......... |
keep up the good work

This is very cool reading, and I like the pics. love following the projects! keep up this great work !

i have just found my switch cut-off but very cheap when we see the price of a real bosch
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...toffswitch.jpg the replica http://www.mecatrouve.com/image-200/...xlLmpwZw%3D%3D we have just to cut the red and the black cap and after the part we can see is similar. |
and good news i have found my chronometers ......
quickly some news pictures , you will love it :) |
Impressive work! I like your creative use of everyday materials, very resourceful indeed!

Thus I have the photo of the dashboard of the RSR Martini in competition, I have the manual printer "Dymo" I could finally have this....
http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/5983/tbrsr.jpg If somebody can indicate me the word which is under the pull,I believe to read "Zundung" but I miss the end of the word. On a modern replica we see better but the end is always missing... http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/3659/tbrsrnew.jpg On the other hand we can notice the switch cut-off Bosch (an outside, an inside)!!! Otherwise on this 14 July, (holiday in France) I prepared the rear fender for the weld http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/1...0714181213.jpg http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/2...0714181133.jpg And the evening in front of the TV, the creation of the plate for carrying the stopwatch. We leave an average plate cut in good dimension http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/6...0712213959.jpg We sand quickly to remove the paint http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/6...0713204010.jpg Then we rub, we rub, we rub with "belgom" and the various sandpaper. http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/8...0713205327.jpg We always finalize in the "belgom" and in the steel wool 0000 http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/2...0713214641.jpg And in the end " we see each other of in !!! " http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/1/20110713221809.jpg |
now just to wait the stopwatch for the end ........
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5...0713230941.jpg Good news I finalized my exhaust cap with beautiful springs all identical (I have it even early) for those that was interesting that is worth 5 - 10 cents in rummage sales because originally it is a complex assembly forming a magnificent "plate support " for the wall ...... http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/850...0712213935.jpg Otherwise I am on the plans to make it!!! http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/2125/sanglepb.jpg |
