tof2.7 07-15-2011 04:36 AM

Thanks Tom , yes when we see in the detail the dymo sticker in the first picture we can see the ü with the deutsch umlaut ;)

Jeroen 07-15-2011 04:58 AM

Tom, I know, but I couldn't find the ü on my apple keyboard 8^)

And as I still had time I enjoied making that

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/6...0715131658.jpg

http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/504...0715142920.jpg

Now it is just necessary to make out a will on the animal to verify quotes.

tof2.7 07-15-2011 06:47 AM

Withe the hole more big

http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/736...0715163625.jpg

all that to polish , should be long .............

jm58 07-15-2011 09:03 AM

Don't forget your gloves .... SmileWavy

tof2.7 07-15-2011 01:53 PM

Yes two choise, take the glove or said "good bye" to my fingers :)

tof2.7 07-16-2011 01:14 PM

Well today rain all day long.

And with the rain no luminosity thus excuse photos.

Then for the belts of preservation that gives it.

http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/7620/dsc0452c.jpg

Rest more than has to finalize quotes and to reproduce it alu more thick.

For support Stopwatches (who arrive next week)

Fixations of stalks for the drawer of the car radio. (As it so a long road we shall have some music I have to hide the HP under the dashboard)

http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/4506/dsc0456y.jpg

http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/4895/dsc0478ts.jpg

You have notice the size of the plate which is going to receive the switch cut-off , I expect for have it in hand and I could then determine the height.

Otherwise I have to work on the masks of the mechanisms of belt.

http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/4443/dsc0453l.jpg

Which did not produce, too long and not enough covering on the back.

Of the blow I made the following modification.

Cutting on the high plane

http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/7655/dsc0458y.jpg

tof2.7 07-16-2011 01:15 PM

We take out the piece and we found the length of the future flap.

http://img814.imageshack.us/img814/2033/dsc0461r.jpg

We cut in the good dimension

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/3633/dsc0462r.jpg

We are then going to practise a heavy loss on all the height in approximately a 1/3 of the thickness of the plastic to be then able to fold it and pull down the back part.

http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/1665/dsc0463rb.jpg

We can then pull down and leak out to be able to fix the high and the back parts

http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/1489/dsc0468v.jpg

We fix the whole one is recover with the skaï and it gives us this

http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/4458/dsc0472z.jpg

http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/1963/dsc0473w.jpg

And with the mechanism of belt

http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/6426/dsc0474e.jpg

It is then necessary to make a small leg U which will be fix at the top by saw it back of the visible plastic passer-by on the photo. This leg comes to clip under the metallic plate which is on the support of the mechanism of belt (no photo because no luminosity for a photo with my GSM) and now the result :

I don't know if I missed it but where did you get the rear flairs from?
Thanks, Rich

tof2.7 07-16-2011 02:43 PM

Hi Rich, for flairs you said fenders, so they come from ebay deutschland, and the builder is Dansk. I think you can found it in US, possible on pelican Part.

gt3racerich 07-17-2011 03:58 AM

Thanks for the reply. Keep up the good work.
Rich

tof2.7 07-17-2011 10:46 AM

tof2.7 07-18-2011 01:22 AM

Today i have the visit of the postman with :

First the swith cutt of, i have take out the cap red and black and it's perfect just cut the key a little because too long i think

http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/9025/coupecircuit2.jpg

and in second time, the first chronograph (in 30 graduations, the second is in 60)

http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/326/chrono9.jpg

:)

tof2.7 07-19-2011 12:21 AM

Thus yesterday evening not liking it any more I worked on the support of stopwatch,

It will look to that:

http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/6619/chrono10.jpg

The second is on the way in .......

I also prepared my mask lock of limps in gloves

Indeed there is no door on a RSR but a hole on the place of the hole of lock thus I am going to make a black plate screwed instead of this hole (in red)

tof2.7 07-22-2011 07:09 AM

Well the crucial stage of the rear fenders is behind us. And it is a good thing because what a difficult job, fortunately my two friends JF and Fab was there, because only it would have been impossible mission. René, another friend and I served as "Arpettes" (little helping man) and we especially took a big lesson.

First of all the presentation of the extension:

http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/7623/carross17.jpg

Then the cutting to have just one centimeters necessary for the "soyage"

http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/6530/carross18.jpg

Put back in position to prepare the weld.

http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/5779/carross19.jpg

And it is gone for the weld, at first some point of weld.

http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/7313/carross20.jpg

Then the weld, with always JF in the hammer and in the heap

http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/5938/carross24.jpg

Then grinding of the weld.

http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/63/carross26.jpg

sanding.

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/1229/carross40.jpg

Then application of a putty iron.

the same for the second side

http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/1566/carross35.jpg

With a break "pizza" always in the cheerfulness.

http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/4179/carross37.jpg

http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/7472/carross36.jpg

tof2.7 07-22-2011 07:13 AM

We took advantage of it to delete the holes of cashdesk.

http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/1152/carross38.jpg

And especially an excellent final result, the judge was the Bumper RSR.

Presentation of the "beast"

The ends of wings and bumper fall first-class

http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/458/carross42.jpg

http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/1438/carross43.jpg

We begin to see the end

SmileWavyThank's for sharing ,I am also going to drink a beer

Walt Fricke 07-22-2011 10:08 PM

For a perfectionist like you, mon ami, I think there can never be an end!

But it does look like you will have a car you can drive fairly soon.

What are the "holes of the cash deck" which pizza (et biere) allowed you to weld up? Are they where the sheet metal screws held the cosmetic sheet metal under the door from fender well to fender well? The one which has the hard to put back in rubber protective strip?
