James,
I share in your excitement in this project. I love to see it evolve everyday and cannot wait to hear it fire up for the first time! If anyone has any questions about this project please give me a PM or post them and I will do my best to answer them. I will keep getting James photos so he can update this thread. We build some great Porsche's but this one is going to be truly one of a kind!!!! Sincerely, Scott scott@patrickmotorsports.com

Re the Motec - A couple of people I have spoken with seem to think that I can get it through, just a bit of planning and work... time will tell. I'll definitely get the car out and about in Sydney once it arrives. A early GT2 is very much my inspiration. |

Got some pics of the Transmission today
So James Patrick and Patrick Motorsports sent me a late email today with some photo's of the six speed G50, short bell housing transmission. So excited! I decided that spending the extra bit on a 6 speed was worth it! It's been completely overhauled so it should be exciting...

So a couple of people have PM'd me about Patrick Motorsports, and wanted references etc as to there work.
I can only be very positive and say that they have been really helpful. For those with questions around the quality of work etc, I thought its best that I just post the sort of photo's I get from them on the build... So today I got some pictures showing the welding on the cage.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway I'm really happy with the build to date. If anyone wants to know more feel free to post or PM me.

I've decided to just do a rear half cage.
Registration is a nightmare, I wish the RTA would look at these things as improvements where they are done professionally and with care and thought. The problem is all the "half-jobs" which have ruined it for those who want to do it right. I had been considering doing another car, but the registration and import rules, not to mention the duties just keeps making me thing its not worth the effort. On other news, I had a small accident yesterday in my C2S. I got cut off and mounted the gutter. I should have let him hit me, at least I wouldn't have been at fault. Not really sure the extent of the damage, at least two rims. Perhaps some suspension components. Very annoying seeing I had just spent the weekend painting the wheels black. Anyway I'm really p#$Sed off about the entire thing.

So I got a couple of pictures today of the heads from the 993 TT that we're building... thought I should share:
![]() ![]() So this now completes all the major engine components that were needed to get the long block built. I'm hoping that early next week it will get put back together, and I will be sharing photo's of a built engine. On the other fronts, the body is about to be taken back to bare metal for paint preparation, so that's exciting. Again when I get some photo's I will share them with you all...

I had a discussion with the guys at Patrick Motorsports on Saturday morning (Sydney) which is Friday afternoon in Phoenix, AZ.
The car is next in line for the paint shop, so I'm hoping to have some pictures this week with progress. The engine is all in component form, and I'm expecting to get photo's of its build when it occurs (again this should hopefully be this week). Both are going to be built simultaneously so hopefully i'll have great pictures in the next week to share.

What size oil cooler are you putting on that?
I'm doing up a 73 with RSR bumper and the giant cooler that came with this project has no hope of fitting behind the bumper, even with significant ducting. Thanks

I wonder if one of these would more or less bolt right in to a G50 911. I see that the front bracket has been cut or machined off. How about provisions for mounting the cross member?
