User name

I'm contemplating having the powers that be change my user name. Someone has chosen one that is remarkably close to mine and has even fooled me on a couple occasions. I just don't want to be confused with this other Pelican or him with me.

Am I being a bit neurotic about this? Should I just let it be and carry on as usual or is changing a not crazy thing?

Thanks for any opinions.

I posted a thread about this a couple of weeks ago. Changing it is your call. I vote for "yes".

BTW-what is the meaning of the name?

I see why 2 fellas might pick such a unique name now. Thanks for the link, JJ.

I vote that one of them changes to "Starman".

sorry syzygy...I meant no harm. Purely a coincidence. This szyzygy name is one of my names on my actuary chat room. I have about 50 ids over there.

The mods can change my name to Hugh Jass instead if you want to keep the syzygy name.

Wayne: too funny. I never saw that thread. It was pure coincidence. And it was a coincidence that you started that one only a week or so ago. Very Twilight Zone...

Hugh: don't worry about it. Scott already said he would change it. I just have to come up with something interesting and unique. And something I can remember. Maybe I'll also add something to let people know who I was.

Dude, you are going to fit in well around here. That made me laugh out loud.

btw-ignore the ones that out you down for not knowing your 911. These cars are very different than most others on the road. My feeling is that you just have to take in everything that you can from every source that you can.

I completely missed the Hugh Jass thing. After Wayne's comment, I took another look and the light bulb went on. Feel kinda dumb now. Have another drink, I guess. The thing is, I actually know someone with Jass as a last name...

Yeah, it's the internet. Thankfully there are more helpful people than flamers/haterz. Not a big deal.

That's awesome! Please tell me they have someone in their family named Hugh....

It's actually from the Simpsons "Flaming Moe" episode. He's the dude in my avatar.

They also won't let me have Terry Hesticles or Mike Hawk.

A friend of ours has refused to take her new husband's name Tkal, as her first name is Tess...

Dead-set true.
