Electrical wires HOT found when rep'l turn signal switch...what is it...??

working on an 87' Carrera...anyone know what these hot wires came or go to...??

Looks like they came out of a broken connector or lited something or switch...??

When I was installing the new turn signal/headlite hi/lo steering column switch, I see this arking happening...WOW I say to my self...this 2 pin hot wire is part of the wire set that has the Blk/Purple wire as part of its bundle...

Anyone know where this came from...?? I am sorting out a TON of electrical stuff so I guess it could come from anything...
Thx, Bob

Garage
just a guess: it might go to the cabin air temperature sensor motor near the ash tray, which is around the same area where you are working. it gets power when the ignition key is on. though, I don't recall seeing anything with pins like that. it almost looks like it's been tugged out of a connector housing.

Thx Ellsworth for your post...
Here is what I have checked & it does not appear to attach to any of the following:
fuel gage, oil gage, tach gage, sunroof switch, elect mirror cross over switch, headlite switch.

It reaches to the right side of the the car almost to cruise control decal on the knee pad...

**Does anyone know if this may attach to the ignition~key metal casting that has 1 of its ends plug into the steering column & the other end has the key tumblers...??

Does this car have a seatbelt or door open buzzer that may of been crudely attempted to be disabled...??

Any other ideas...??

Thx,Bob

Bob, yes that looks like the buzzer portion of the switch and yes it goes on the locking arm section of the ignition switch.

Correct, and well done!!!!

Here's the CKT/color codes from my factory manual.

And it does plug right in, but should be re-insulated
using the factory connector cover.
