Guess they don't drive it because that set up would probably blow the tires as they would rub together. At least they would under load. There is a reason to keep the tire walls from rubbing. However, long live creativity!

if I convert my racecar maybe I won't have to take points for widening the rear wheels?

Very good point.

Q: Are tires or wheels wider than stock?
A: Nope. [snicker]

Cory, the GCR's only state wheel width, there is nothing about how many rear wheels you can use. I think you should dual-up a set of 9"s. That puppy would really stick with 18"s of rubber on the ground. That would catch Sheriff Parker at a loss for words.

This is the kind of thinking that racing needs! Jim Hall and Norbert Singer must've thought this way. Was it the Chaparral 2D, where they needed a minimum luggage space (like the spare tire - weird rule) so Jim Hall grafted in a bunch of small storage containers in most or all of the body work, and it added up to the minimum!

I remember the prototype for the 917/10 ran duallies in the rear, since at the time there weren't tires wide enough to handle the power!

Take care

I got it

Well, its an interesting Idea....

But..

They need a spacer between the wheels to get a wider stance....

I think its a VW Kit Car...

Pretty sure I remember that car from a Miami Vice episode in '85 or so!
