01sport is the model of my 740i. I started on the BMW forums and got hooked on working on the 7. Then my 87 3.2 wouldn't start. My problem is that come saturday morning I don't know which to work on. The 7 or the 911? I tend to obsess on one of the other. I'll tell you this though. The Porsche always bites me when I work on her. It makes my hands and back hurt. Always at least a one band-aid/two advil job.
Jeff

I'm a pilot and a rudderboost is a part on an airplane. I've always used screen names that describe parts of an airplane- specifically the tail for some reason!

I'm surprised to see so many pilots and people in aviation on here. There must be something with flying and Porsches!

I am a "Bah Humbug" kind of guy when it comes to christmas, and a curmudgeonly Kraut to boot, so when I was working as a test engineer way back when I got the nickname Burgermeister Meisterburger...I even have a figurine of said character, ironically given to me as a christmas present, sitting on my desk at work.

The Robot Santa from Futurama is more my style ... "Merry X-mas everybody!"

I think the name is obvious First name, Last Initial and the Car

I remember standing on a street corner in Kenora, Ontario where I grew up when I was 12 and saw my first 911.

Ya I know must have been a small sheltered town.

It is just like the commercial says.
"For some there is the decade or two between knowing ang and having a 911." or someting like that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRbzJ0L1Zn8

It took 24 years of dream'en and scream'en to get me one.

"fast eddie" is my nickname from skiing exploits, but was already taken as a user name. "fast_e" just didn't grab me. I wasn't very creative at the time, I just wanted to log on as a real user, not a guest. I didn't want to be a "girly mon" so I ended up as "fast_e_man"

Remember the old days….before proper radar detectors….. we ran fast using CBs and Fuzzbusters? I drove a lemon yellow turbo VW (Porsche Can Am inspired) and one of my fellow engineers suggested Cop Bait as an appropriate CB handle. It stuck.
I haven’t used my detector in years……I suck!

I have an addiction to fine German automobiles that cost more to maintain than to purchase.
I have an addiction to spending hours reading a BBS on Porsche cars.
I can quote certain parts of Bentleys Repair Manual Chapter and Verse.
I am a Porscheholic but I can quit any time.

Oh, and I hate when people pronounce Porsche as a 1 syllable word.

Ooh. I actually quite like the 'plain jane'/'tadpole' look

A pretty silver 1975, and safety stripes to boot!

Oh well...

What colour is the 'Bullfrog'? A more modern Porsche colour, or a non-Porsche colour?

Roux - the basic element in great Cajun cooking. It involves lightly browning oil & flour, then seasoning. It really takes time to make a good roux, it should never be hurried. If prepared correctly, the rest of your dish will be a snap.
