How to Fill A/C compressor stand hole

I've removed my A/C compressor and stand (what a bear!), and now have a a small rectangular hole where the stand went through the tin. Should thgis be filled, and if so, how could I do it. I'm thinking of the heater blower delete next, so maybe these could segue somehow. Any ideas? TIA,

Maybe a picture would help? I can't think off the top of my head where the compressor bracket mounts below the tin.

Small rectangular hole, cut a small piece of sheet metal, paint it and silicone it for now. When engine is out have it welded if you need to for cosmetics.

it won't effect the cooling if that is your question. the small tin is the best bet.

Are you talking about the tin down near the crank pulley? I didn't worry about it.

Actually, that was what I was concerned about. I should have asked it that way, as I'm ok with cutting a piece of tin and attaching it. Thanks,

I cut out a piece of sheetmetal to fit and drilled holes to utilize the adjacent M6 tapped hole in the chain cover and the nut on the sheetmetal. Sprayed it satin black to match. Just need two more of the bolts for the engine tin.
