Of all the things 'I can't wait for in life' it's funny that I can't wait for this engine to be put into this car.
Can't wait to see the vid. (sucks that you still have a few things left to do...if the 915 needs attention, sounds like you do have a few 10s of hours or work left and we all know how quickly the weekends go by when you'd bustin' a nut on the P-car.)

Oh man, I cannot even bare to look at that beautiful engine. That thing is beautiful! I am sick and tired of you guys pulling off your projects, while mine sits abandoned in my driveway for lack of funds. Hey, remember the old house-raising stories from the old west? When someone's house burned down, all the neighbors would show up and build them a new one in one day? Well, I was just thinking.... you guys could all come to my house.. someone brings a butt-welding-device-gizmo... we could weld on my rear 930 flares and attach my yellowbird bumpers...... I'll supply the beer and the nasty blondes in bikinis (hey - I do live in South Orange County, you know).

What a dream.... meanwhile I have Kurt B bustin' my clown ass and talkin' SMACK just because he has a chip and a K&N air filter. Good thing you're in Northern Calif, Kurt.

Hey Rarly - Here's the answer to your money-spendin' ignition woes:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

$4500 distributor?! Don't do that to me man. The way my luck has run I'd need this $4500 part. Then I would find that it's broken AFTER I installed it. Then I would need the $3500 rebuild kit.

Kurt - I can't get in a hurry now. Too close to cut corners. The tranny's no big deal, it's got to come out anyway. The mechanic can fix that while I'm doing other stuff. I think I've lost the shifter ball bushing now as well so that's gatta be changed out. Might add one of those robotech dealies while I'm at it.
My mechanic is booked up through the middle of June so I've got a little time. I want to get everything done on the chassis so that all we need to do is the actual swap. In-out, plug it in and GO! (Yea right).

THEN we'll make the "how to grenade a 915" video. HA!

Stuttgart: I can't.
The children will cry. Just imagine for a moment. There is Richard, in his Healy-911 with his little buddies, making animals out of balloons and handing them to children as he drives along the road.

His SC is brightly colored like his hair, and the kids of all nations smile and wave.

Then I come screaming by with Corrosion of Conformity's Vote with a Bullet blaring, a little Yum Yum in fishnet stockings with high heels and thick black eyeliner who looks exactly like Hee Sun Kim yelling ***** at him in Korean and English as I screech the wheels and rev my engine at him...wait, if she's in the car, then I just go back to wherever I came from. And...
Then I guess we'd come back and try and find him later, or something....Okay, I ruined my own story.
Sorry, probably would have had a cool ending and stuff.
