Still working out small bugs and finishing details on the car, and at the same time trying to put some miles on the car. I took my friend Dan for a ride last night and he snapped a few great shots.

Masterful job Chris. Love the color choice and that motor! Bring it to one of the dinners, if you dare.

Ambient temps from the turbo have been very hot so after a little research, I decided to install an insulation cover. The product is from Design engineering Inc. The photos speak for themselves on how effective their product is!

After

I should do that. At this point I'm thinking about punching holes in the rear of my bumper to vent hot air. It gets so hot back there with that turbo.

I'm shocked at the results. Test drive tomorrow should reveal a cooler license plate panel!

With my last FG rear bumper, to release heat and the sail like effect the bumper/back valence creates, I used a key hole saw and cut two holes behind the license plate. The holes were not visible due to the plate, which had the standard gap because of the plate bracket. Have no quantitative proof that it worked in either regard but I am trying to make it a trend regardless

Do you even need that muffler? My 930 was pretty quiet with a straight pipe. What were the final dyno results?

Beautiful build!

There's a local vintage European car show near my house today so I figured we would take the Citroen 2CV (30~hp) and the Backdate Turbo (591hp). I'm guessing they will both arrive at the same time

I did run a Zork tube for a few minutes which is just a straight pipe and it was too loud and unrefined. This is made to be a daily driver so I don't want to give myself a noise headache. Our fabricated muffler sounds very nice but not too loud.

Looking forward to measuring the heat issue on the rear valence and quarter panel.

Photos to follow.

Keith drove the backdate and despite an enormous hp difference, he still arrived behind the 2CV

It certainly doesn't look like a car with nearly 600hp!
