What a great conversation with your dad. Tuesday will be a FANTASTIC day. I wish my dad was still around. All the best.

Save on desktop, rotate until they are upright even if they are upright to start with and post.

Dad replies "ok".

Tuesday can't get here fast enough!
Nice.

However, having lived in Jackson, MS from 2000-2004, I’m especially curious where these twisty roads exist! I think I got spoiled in SoCal. Now in Dallas, the search begins again.

Shiloh Rd. between Brandon and Pelahatchie in Rankin County MS. One spot that has the best "corkscrew" in both reverse curves and dramatic elevation change this side of Laguna Seca.

Did a TSD road rally. It rained the whole time, water leaked in, we synced our watch 27 seconds wrong, the lights didn't work and we got lost during the odometer calibration section, yet we still had a great time.

Enlisted Dads help to try to align the shifter linkage, still cant get a grind free 5-4 downshift. Fixed a broken turn signal, and we went for a drive.

I reverse engineered and had manufactured a short production run of custom gaskets for my 930 wastegate....

Replacements for the wastegate valve guide are due to arrive mid December!!!

Placed a LED under the steering wheel pod which shines up on the ignition switch when the driver door is opened. Thought this would be a handy mod. No drilling required.

During this adventure I learned that the door switch acts as a ground to the dome lights (or one of the grounds) when released. Of course I initially had the LED wired backwards and when I opened the door, the dome lights would not illuminate.

The pic sucks because the flash activated but you can see the bulb under the wheel.

How did he do that? I used the ground wire running to the door pin switch in the drivers footwell. It was covered by a black plastic cover. I then tapped into a solid red wire in the same area. Since the current draw is minimal, I didn’t fuse it. But I still could... if folks think it is a must.

Yeah Kev, I remember the original thread. It was a total ripoff, but what the he!!, originality is overrated.

My only true ‘Original’ is my extinguisher mount using the rear seat back center mount.
I think it is pretty darned cool. The extinguisher mount is sandwiched between two pieces of metal tied together with nuts and bolts. The bottom piece was first secured by two heavy duty hose clamps which wrap around the seat back pegs. It’s on page 344.
