Drove way to fast on a public road...clear, could see for 5 miles, no traffic (Az, not uncommon), and no cross traffic roads......these old cars come alive in the three digit zone....

Set out to adjust the parking brake. Found a broken piece that i fixed. Then found the caliper leaking . I rebuilt the other side a few years ago so expected it. But the pistons on this side were bad so ordered new ones and hoses too since they look original and iv been meaning to since I got the car 11 yeas ago. Can o worms

I went to the chandler Porsche dealer car show today and entered into a raffle while I was there, won a spiffy Porsche radio with navigation. Figures, I just bought and installed a kenwood deck last week! Oh well, this has the coolness factor of 11 and my brother gets an almost new head unit

Thanks Lake guy, Miker great looking motor, Have been on this since April 2017, just finished last week, did not realize all the extra detail that had to be addressed twin plugging. Ever time I got to one place there was something that I had not considered Since that pic I have spent hours just making all the wiring look professional.
Next Phese just drive it awhile, then go back adjust valves , check timing and AFR on carbs . Then it’s Dyno time . Will keep you guys posted

Went for a spirited drive in my SC on the local set of rural twistys on a beautiful fall afternoon with sunshine and 54F. Then drove it on down to the assisted living home to visit with my 97 year old Dad at dusk.
Asked Dad how his day had been, he replied "it's been a good day, I wanted to get out in the sunshine but it's just a bit too cold. I bet it would be a good day to go for a drive in the 911 in the country...." I replied "Dad, truth be known, it was. I've got things to do tomorrow but Tuesday will be just like today. And you are going with me on Tuesday." Dad replies "ok". Tuesday can't get here fast enough! |

Thank you for sharing that very touching personal moment. Your dad is lucky to have you. Next Tuesday may you and your dad have a truly great drive.
