Raised my car to rally height!

Well, not really. I replaced the original Bilsteins on my '84 with a fresh new set. The originals only had 172k miles on them. As expected, the new shocks raised the car 15-20mm or so. I expect that to settle after I drive it over the next few weeks. The car seems to ride better, it is more supple-feeling over road irregularities that felt a bit harsh before. It was apparently time.

Anyone need a set of Bilsteins to rebuild/revalve? Pay for the shipping and they are yours.

they won't. had the same issue with new Bilstein (Turbo front, Nürburgring rear).
after 2 years I got fed up and I went ahead lowered the car myself.

We took the rear window out because it leaks. It will leak more now so we'll put it back in soon with news seals. Was expecting rust but there was none. WIN!

Moved the halon out of the frunk. Originally wanted to put a couple below the rear seats on the firewall but saw there were electrcals and plumbing in the way except behind the drivers seat, where I didn’t want.

hm... before I'd drill holes into the body, I'd buy/build a bracket to mount it in front of the passenger seat. best first respond access area to mount it.
and if you don't want to look at it, a bit of carpet to cover it solves that.

would be interested in hearing some feedback about it. I like the spring load at the base. I had to replace my original plastic pedal couple of years ago and went with the D-Zug verson as I felt I didn't need too much adjust ability, just the ability to bring the plane forward and backwards.

I've been happy with it, but like I said, the spring on that seems like it would be a nice touch.

No holes were drilled. I created a bracket which attached to the back seat mounts. Seems pretty stout.

That change to brown carpet really looks great. I think I am going to follow your lead

Did a bit of a winter tune. Took some timing out of the mid range and got a bit more grunt on cam.

Replace the damaged ventilation control switch unit with another that has better facia. These things are a ***** to replace. I had to remove the stereo, cruise control ecu, and glove box to get to all the wiring. The worst of it is removing and installing the 3 control cables.

What didn't we do?

Replaced the rear window seal, new wipers, replaced the voltage regulator, put the winter tires on and moved the co-driver's seat back two inches. All prep for tomorrow's rainy TSD rally.
