So does the top fit any year without modification to the front window frame?
On my Saratoga top the latches go in just like the factory soft top.

the current version for sale uses the factory hardtop mounting system which is different than any other factory targa mounting setup. we are currently working on making a j-hook version.

Yep.

We're getting close to having the J-hook frame model done.

Is a roller latch version planned as well? I've recommended the top to a customer with an 81 SC. Either the current model or the J-Hook would work well for him. Are you contemplating a wholesale price for these tops for shops like mine that may want to sell them to our customers?

Progress has been slow due to other commitments however I'm still moving along on it.

The j-hook bottom is nearly completely modeled and I hop to be laying up the tool over the weekend.

Regards,

Plenty of distractions due to merging with another company. We're fitting bits and opieces in as we can based on priorities.

I hope to have an update in the near future

Todd,
Any chance you will be selling the old style latch assemblies for these tops anytime?
I asked about them a while ago but received no response.

Hi Dennis,

that factory hard top latch has been a major stumbling block for us.
It's something that we have been unsuccessful in finding and simply can't afford to have stamped.

We have decided to focus efforts on the j-hook version next and are making some small progress as we can.

If someone else out there can helps source factory hard top latches, we would love the help!

Thanks,

Getting closer,

the J-Hook bottom frame model is now fully formed and ready for surfacing...
With any luck, we'll be building the mold next week.

Stay tuned!
Thanks,

...Just when you thought a Targa couldn't get any sexier.

Looks like an exceptional piece that will increase performance over the original top.

I do have it, its holding up well, some small surface wear nothing noticeable. Thanks.

It would be interesting to frame a smaller piece of tinted lexan into your tops for those who want the see through option.
