Running CIS on 80-83 3.0L w/o using brain/o2

Hi, Can any one give me info on running a 3.0 L without the brain/ oxigen sensor set up. What would be required to run this way and would it work properly. I am looking at installing a 3.0 L in my 77S and one mechanic said you could install it without the brain/02 setup or even use the complete CIS setup off my 77S on the 3.0 L. Any thoughts on this, Thanks

Hello, you can eliminate some of the circuits but not all, the ECU controls the frequency valve and if it does not work, the car will run, but very poorly, I can send you a electrical diagrahm if you need one.

I have a 80 3.0, I set the mixture with the O2 disconnected and leave it disconnect for overall driveability
