Building a Trans Cooler - need to ID and Find bits
I've decided to build a trans cooler setup, and I think I can do it for less than the $600 that AutoMetrics wants for theirs. Plus they won't reply to my emails, which torques me.
If I can ID this fitting and figure out where to buy it, I can do the rest myself. I have an extra cooler laying around, and can source the line locally. The Tilton pump is an off-the-shelf kinda item. ![]()

You might want to check with Racerpartswholesale.com. Also, the company that manufactures those fittings probably has a location in San Francisco. When I did my second oil cooler, I was able to drive out to their plant for the fittings I needed.
My system uses (I think) a Tilton pump and an oil cooler from a 944 Turbo.

What's a good source for the Tilton pump?
How about a spray bar?

Thom,
M24 Taper for the drain & filler. Try an industrial hydraulic supply ... they may not have it in anodized aluminum, but Aeroquip makes steel fittings of all kinds for trucks and industry!
