3.0 to a 91 c2 engine

Anyone know if this can be done? Just fooling around with the idea.

Why on earth would you want a 3.6 litre C2 engine when you already have a 3.0SC engine?

P.S. A search will provide some good answers.

In addition to SSI's....

1. 964 grind cams, 9.8:1 Mahle pistons & cylinders, racing valve springs, titanium retainers. If you have a 78-79 3.0, you already
have the larger intakes. Go to the Pelican home page and read the CIS technical article by Noah. I think he got over 200HP at the wheels with this setup.

2. Put the car on a diet.

3. Set the advance to 10-12 degree BTDC (don't exceed max advance at 6K rpms or let her ping).

4. Take off the smog stuff if you have it.

5. Unplug O2 sensor if you have it and adjust CO to 3.5.

All of these things will make a difference, some much more than others. My butt-dyno says changing the advance and doing the O2 sensor made a difference.

cheers

I went from a 3.0 to a 3.6 turbo. It FAR outweighs doing all the mods to the 3.0.
