Timing for 73 2.4 CIS with Pertronix

Just a question for all. I am getting ready to do a Pertronix swap in my 73 T 2.4L CIS... I did a search but didn't find anything as far as what is the correct timing to set this to. Engine is otherwise stock to my knowledge.

Wouldn't you want to set it at factory timing specs with a timing light?

Bob is correct. The Pertronix is simply a different method to trigger the coil. The timing should be the same as with any other ignition.

5 degrees ATDC. Your crankshaft pulley should have a TDC mark and the 5 degree ATDC should be the mark just to the left.

Set at 900 rpm (warm idle).

I have a pertronix in my 1973 and it works well. Been in there for 7 years or so and needs no maintenance.
