Tach doesn't work after Pertronix points install
I installed Pertronix points in my '73T and now my tach doesn't work. I finally found and used used the wiring diagram below, but only after several unsuccessful experiments. Is it possible I baked the tach, or is there possibly some other known idiosyncrasy with Pertronix and the CDI tach?

Are the Black wire from the CDI and the Purple/Black wire from 14 pin connector both connected to the Pertronix Black lead?
They should be.

The Pertronix, when connected as shown should not blow your Tach. If you go back to your original points setup does the tach start to work properly again?

What is the date on the back of your tach? Is the speed switch installed?
