window regulator assembly question
I took my doors apart about a year ago and now that I am reassembling them again, I can't figure out the washer order. This photo below shows what I saved. The bolt is easy as it has it as has a rectangular shank that fits into the slot of the lower arm. The thick washer (I am pretty sure I only need one) has to go somewhere but I just can't figure it out where. I am also unsure if the nut is proper. My guess is that should have a lock nut. Sorry for asking such a simple question but I would like to get this right the first time without having to take the freaking doors apart again later. The car is a '72 911T. I've done a search but couldn't find this.

To make absolute sure, check the other door or check PAG parts katalog, but sometimes it is not in proper order.

Thanks DRACO for the reply. Unfortunately, both slotted bolts that hold the spring were broken, so I took both door regulators apart at the time. Not very smart in hind sight.
Actually, if someone could post a photo of the joint at a side angle, I could figure it out. It is clear to me that both door regulators have been worked on before by one of the POs, so it may not have been put together correctly before I took it apart.

You have a washer pattern on the one arm. Slip the wavy washer over the bolt, and slide the bolt into the round hole - does the washer cover the pattern? If yes, add a flat washer between the arm and bracket, put the second flat washer on the threaded end of the bolt, add the silver washer and put on the nut. How's it look?

One cad gold washer
Through arm Silver slip washer Through arm Wave washer Cad washer Nut Don't do it up too tight, as it levels the window. Fit it into the frame, wind the window up and down, to center it in the frame. When you're happy with the action, tighten it up. Hope that helps

Great! Just what I needed to see. Should I put some sort of thread lock on the bolt when I tighten the nut? I would guess that the back and forth movement would eventually loosen the nut. Or am I just being paranoid?

Your wave washer will hold tension on it. It just like a spring washer.

Exactly. In my case, there's a spring washer that's through the bolt and a star washer next to the nut.

The spring washer is so thin, I wouldn't have thought it would have been able to hold the nut on. Thanks for educating me guys
