Refitted engine not firing on all cylinders!
Hmmm,
Just refitted the engine in my SC after a body resto. Tidied up the tinware and changed manfolds and some seals, but other than a change of oils & filters, nothing else done on the unit. fired up after oil primed and fuel sent through, just not on all cylinders! Could it be an air lock in the CIS fuelling system? Cheers |

Did you bleed the system?
Turn on the ignition and lift the lever in the air box to get fuel to flow to the injectors. If they are squealing they are primed. Doesn't take more than a few seconds. Don't do it longer that 3-5 seconds as it will flood the cylinders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did you at some point remove the spark plug wires, on either the plug or dizzy side?
If so check that they were reconnected to the proper cylinder. That should take care of basic spark since other cylinders are firing ![]() Also check that all fuel injector connectors are on correctly. Fuel Did you make sure you removed any rags left behind when putting back on the intake manifold? Air

My guess is somehow you got your timing whacked or put a plug wire on the wrong cylinder.
Did you pull plugs or change plug wires? |

The ol' manfold change can wreak havoc.
Expound upon this. Also, where are you based?

All plugs are wired up correct, I marked up the dizzy so that's gone back in the same position.
So, whats this story with the manifolds? |

So, doesn't appear to be a timing or loose plug issue.
Definitely feels like it's not getting fueled properly, will fire up instantly, sounds like a rough beetle at idle (though does idle). real hesitant throttle response, then when backing off the throttle (only took it to 3 thou, not really revved), revs drop right off then flutter. Nothing has been adjusted before/during/since the engine refitted. |

Maybe firing on one bank only...
Listen to the injectors (Stethoscope or long screw driver) to see if all six are clicking.
