Backup light switch defective
This is the second switch to go bad after less than a year, by now I could have bought the original that costs about double the aftermarket one.
These aftermarket switches just don`t last, same issue with the super cheap window switches(3X), DME relays(2X), who knows what else.... had to vent!

For some items the OEM is the way to go for sure.
Not so for the "OEM" silver Bosch coil, those are garbage. For many electrical parts OEM is worth the difference.

If from our host I think they have a 2 year warranty.
+1 switch needs to be OEM but in saying that mine just went out after the 2 year period :-/ But before that, make sure your connector is not corroded.
