sounds good.. I'm all set to go.. there's no way my car could be though. I just got the engine all cleaned up, it'll take me another week or three to get the car back in and another week at least to get it on the road and running decently.

I know it's a bit early... but the weather guessers are calling for Partly Cloudy w/ a high of 50 degrees on the 7th of December.
![]() BTW - I'll be passing through the Triad area from Raleigh if anyone wants to "pre" drive as a group over to Statesville. Cheers, |

I'll do that predrive. If you want to see mine it's 2 minutes off of 40 on your way here. Be warned though it's in way too many pieces right now

For those traveling on I-40 West to Statesville, the man has been working mile marker 170 to 180.

Jim, hope you did not find out the hard way. Also, Mr. Man has been driving an unmarked Dodge Intrepid in Cabarrus county. Guess that goes with the Chevy Tahoe in Iredell county.
Ride update: I recently sent a new map and route list for December 7th to Hal. Look for it to be posted to his site the first part of this week if it is not already. Hope to see a good turnout, weather permitting, this Saturday! Tom

Although I missed the first drive, the new route looks like a blast! Good on you guys for getting it posted so quickly.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and driving the route Saturday. |

Hal,
I could meet you there, though it's a little out of my way. If there is not going to be a Charlotte contingent, Exit 36 (Mooresville) would be better for me, and still on the way to Statesville. Also, I went to the website and tried to print off the directions. The maps printed out fine, but the written directions did not. Any idea why they wouldn't? The forecast is for 2-3 inches of sleet, snow, and freezing rain tonight and tomorrow, but Saturday still looks good. Nothing like a little spirited seat time to cure those cold winter blues!

Hi Todd, I'd like to meet up and cruise up to Statesville together (along w/ Tim, and anyone else who's interested) if ya want. I can meet you near I-40 (and Wendover?) as you pass through Greensboro if that's convenient. Send me a private msg if you're interested...Keith

I'm still lookin' for a ride from greensboro to statesville. Anybody out there with an extra seat going from greensboro on? It's not that big of a deal I don't get one, I'll just have to drive my beater.

Heads up to anyone in the Greensboro area (or passing through on I-40)...a few of us are going to meet at Foreign Cars Italia (near the intersection of I-40 & Wendover) between 8:00-8:15 on Sat. morning for the drive up to Statesville. Here's hoping that the ICEMAN doesn't ruin our drive!!!
ps. Anyone w/ an empty passenger seat want to meet there and offer Tim a ride? |

It is starting to sleet at my house. Hopefully it will all melt off in the mountains. I hear they are getting 2-5 inches of the stuff.
The parts for my heating system shipped Tuesday so I will be pressed to get everything installed by Saturday. So where are we meeting (Charlotte Crew)
