Yep, thanks to the wonderful encouraging folks on this board and their collective wisdom, I have have spent thousands, dare I say many, many, many thousands of dollars of my retirement, kids college and vacation funds on a car that will never be worth what I put into it. And I have wasted oh so many hours reading this board when I really should be doing other things (like right now).

And I blame you guys, yes you, and you too, for the fact that I haven't been able to drive my frickin' car in over four years.

Damn you all with your "you-can-fix-that" and "while-your-in-there" and"our-host-carries-that" helpfulness.

Yes damn you! Damn you, all!

Just kidding....well sorta...

I have learned that no matter how much it has already been debated ad nauseum (Latin root word: hurling) nor how many times each year; there will never, ever be an end to the raging (like a bad case of... something really bad) coupe versus targa debate. Why won't the targa people just roll over and give up? What makes them so dam stubborn? Are they some super human-alien hybrid? I am sure we will find out in the months and years to come. (Inconclusively)

Signed a recovering former targa owner.

Warning received.
Heeding it is another matter.
The 930potd thread, along with the accompanying dialogue is one of the only threads I read everyday.

Carry on spoolers!

The rivalry between coupe owners and those silly targa owners is small potatoes.

If you want a real cat fight you need to discuss putting a trailer hitch on the back of a 911!

With regards to the thread you posted the link to. Any Targa would easily tow a 400lb motorcycle and light weight trailer. The Targa's are really the most versatile vehicle and probably best vehicles on the road.

There's no disputing that they do a most excellent job of transporting their own tonnage of "lame" around, albeit VERY slowly!!!

OMG! OMG!! OMG!!! Apologies must be needed!!!! (or not...)
And I had mistakenly thought that the lack of structural rigidity would have reduced its usefulness for towing. Just drill a hole in that targa bar and you are good to pull your good old tenement on wheels!
. . .
A quick Google image search and the error of my ways is so apparent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wait until you start spending thousands and thousands on tools, materials and equipment to start making stuff for other Pelicans... It's a real sickness being a member here!

Especially you DaddyGlenn, it's all your fault I started making harnesses..

Get the one I made for you installed yet, or are you still monkeying around with little stuff???
