Instead of using the term, "reverse flow", I suggest substituting terms such as regurgitate, recycle, back flush and other non-descriptive terms for this potentially viable strategy. I think you'll get less push-back from the tech crowd.

Just to be clear... I believe that no one, myself especially, has any question as to whether or not your high pressure side flow re-arrangement will work. The question I have, based on the airflow measurements and physical size of the front and rear condensers that I published, just what was the overall improvements in A/C performance? I note that the front condenser you seemed to use is not factory and therefore may be more efficient, thereby biasing the system in favor of your statement. On the other hand I suspect the fan you used to cool the front condenser was less capable than the factory blower so maybe that is a "push" overall. You seem to be a champion of tightly sealing the engine lid against bypass cooling airflow. How did you accomplish that while using those external hoses? Also not sure what you think is accomplished information wise, publishing the guage readings. Can you explain? Finally. Do you have any evidence whatsoever that would indicate to readers of this thread that there was actually an improvement in A/C performance gained by re-routing vs not? Before and after data using the none standard front condenser/fan arrangement in both cases? Say comparative rate at which each configuration pulled the cabin down from ambient to a specific temperature level..?:rolleyes: |

Did you at all consider that with the high side pressures/temperature indicated by the guages that extra cooling via 20 feet of hose might have bias your "test" quite substantially? |
