Yellow is usually the start circuit. That connector isn't factory so who knows?

Yes, driver's seat on the '81 ROW. Right near the (I believe) Bosch ECU.

Sorry, here's a better image. The yellow wire is running out of and part of the Jetronic harness/connector...
