I did the Wevo side plate - and the bottom piece with the temp sender and nipple for the cooler.
Have you thought about a cooler for the 915 (and LSD)? Glad Mike was able to help... He is THE MAN! |
Make sure and Have Mike put a taller 5th in it... needs to be able to cruise 90 mph and not be turning 4K.. The stock 5th from 7:31 box works great. William Knight

Yes doing the WEVO side plate and bearing retainer. Mikes checking the tranny internals this week to see what I need as far as sincros, dogteeth, sliders. LSD is pricey but Im trying to do it. Mike suggested a guard LSD. All I know is this $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |
You want a LSD - without an LSD the transmission twists with one drive wheel (especially with bigger rubber) - I found a factory LSD that had been recently rebuilt - but the Guard is definitely the gold standard.

A few more pics of my buddies GT2RS. Cool thing is he has already ran Pirelli slicks on smaller lightweight 19" Forgeline wheels and tracked it at Sebring. No F-cks given!

I had some small rubbing rear drivers side on hard cornering with tired suspension. I'm hoping the complete suspension rebuild will fix this. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1550349484.JPG |

Thanks for the quick reply, Im working on getting wheels ordered for my project and really like the way you car sits.

I'll throw this out there for what it's worth.
All the early cars, all makes, ran 14-15" wheels and tires with big sidewalls. The manufacturer designed the suspension with the give of the sidewall in consideration with the suspension. Soft or firm depending on the application, Cadillac or Corvette/Sportscars. Now we have the new generation coming out with 17-18-19-20" wheels with 30-40 series tires that have no sidewall give at all, it must be all in the suspension. It seems to me that if you go the larger wheels/small sidewalls on an early car your suspension will not work at all. Of course we can procrastinate and say it's just stiff because it's more like a competition suspension. Just my opinion |
