I know when you do one sleeve in the bellhousing you have to do both, according to CMS's policy. But did you have to do the mid case too because of loose race(s) or just for insurance?

They were loose to, video of both a few pages back

Was able to get the Gaurd LSD for the tranny. Mike highly suggested it. Tranny is being fully sorted now by Mike Bruns. So the car will have a brand new engine and basically a brand new 915 gear box. Hollywood speedo set the odometer to zero for me for this reason. We're getting so close, I'm getting super excited!

WOW! very nice bike!

2 more bearings for the main shaft and pinion. I sent the SKF differential bearings back to Pelican and ordered direct from Porsche just to make sure everything is OEM 100%. I do think Porsche may use SKF but I came this far so just wanted the tranny to be all OEM. So now all 8 OEM Porsche bearings have been purchased and will be heading to Mike Bruns along with some WEVO stuff for assembly next week. Were getting close!

OEM bearings for the differential. The larger differential carrier bearing part 999.059.064.00 is for the billet WEVO side cover.

Yeah its been a learning curve, difficult, costly $$ and fun at the same time. I look back at my old cars and find some relief knowing its going to be the cherry on top, well maybe EXCEPT for the 930.


Speaking of the 930, check the video out below of the walk around from YouTube. I'm going to really try to get the Miami Blue car to allot of events and other fun stuff this year. I will be documenting it for my YouTube channel. So we will be looking forward to having allot of fun and meeting allot of car enthusiast. I want to get the car out to California in 2019 and drive on some of those amazing roads and possibly hit car week in Monterey and also Luftgekuhlt if I'm lucky. Sebring is in my back yard, so the PCA and CHIN days will also be documented! Please subscribe to the channel as we plan to have some good Porsche content this year! I will be investing in some better cameras and editing tools or a real editor so we can bring some good PORSCHE content. When I pick up the motor/tranny from Mike Bruns, I will be doing a full "motor/tranny" walk around, should be pretty cool, especially if I can get Mike to describe what were looking at. Here is a throwback, its hard to believe I had this car 7 years ago. It feels like 2 weeks ago. Somebody got a great deal ($45K). Makes me want to jump off the Skyway bridge whenever I think about it, UGGGG! However by the end, it was leaking/spraying oil badly and needed to be rebuilt and treated right. At the time , I just couldn't do it.

When I was in the final 30 days of my SEMA build every time I got a text message it was $500-1000.

So a buddy of mine just got the Ferrari 812 Superfast. He has all the toys including a Carrera GT and GT2RS. Anyway, it got me thinking about power to weight ratio. I looked his Ferrari 812 up on google for specs and it says the car has 788HP/529 lb-ft TQ. It weighs 3593 lbs. Am I correct in dividing the weight by the HP/Tq.? 3593 lbs. divided by 788 HP is 4.56. So that's 4.56 HP per pound correct?

So it got me thinking about my latest blue car. My first black lightweight 911SC track car (with sunroof) but on a diet ended up at 2319 lbs. The current Miami blue car in this thread was built the same EXACT way with the same parts, however we deleted the sunroof and it has a few more lightweight goodies. However its a wide body with larger wheels and tires. (my black car had Fikse 17x8/9s) (my blue car has Fikse 17x9/11s). So lets say my blue car for fun is heavier at 2400lbs. I think its gonna come in lighter then 2400, but lets call it 2400lbs for fun. The new motor set up by Mike Bruns made 375HP/300TQ. So 2400 lbs divided by 375 is 6.4HP per lb.

What the hell? Does that mean its potentially faster?? It cant be right? His car has more then twice the HP then my car.The torque on my motor is right at 300 lb-ft. The 812 Ferrari has 529 lb-ft.

So If I divide the weight by torque I get for the Ferrari 6.79 lb-ft per pound. For my car at 2400 lbs. divided by 300TQ, I get 8 lb-ft per pound. Is this possible? Im terrible at math and calculations but just a fun thought.

Ferrari 812 3593 lbs. (4.56HP per lb and 6.79 tq. per lb)
Porsche 911SC lightweight 2400 lbs estimated (6.4HP per lb and 8 lb-ft per lb)

Sound right?

You have it backwards.

2400lbs/375hp = 6.75lbs/hp or if you want it the other way, 375hp/2400lbs = 0.156 hp/lb

The Ferrari is

3593lbs/788hp = 4.55 lbs/hp or 788/3593 = .219 hp/lb.

The power to weight ratio tips to the Ferrari but your car is probably more fun.

The Carrera GT is INSANE! We begged him not to do wheels, but he insisted, so we did it. Every car he has is blk on blk. We already have wheels on order for the 812.
