How many here have experienced DME relay failure?

Both. While driving it ended by being a bad/worn fuse on the end from spinning to free up corrosion since I am near the ocean.

I got rid of the problem by going to the updated fuse box using bladed fuses.

When my car was delivered it would not start. Even though the PO had driven the car onto into the transport trailer. It was de DME relay.

Pretty simple, its under the drivers seat next to the DME. If you have 4-way power you can lift the height of the seat up all the way to get more room for easier access. Reach from behind and pull the plug off. Then from the front you can remove a 10mm nut that holds the relay down to the floor.

Put it in your car and try it out. It'd kinda suck to need one sometime and find that your shiny new one you got as a spare is DOA. Doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen...

Startup 12 yrs ago. Had no idea what the problem was, so I had it towed to a dealer to get ripped off there. I now carry a spare.
