Need a Good Idea for Mounting O2 Sensor Wire on Electromotive Setup
I'm looking for any good ideas for mounting the O2 wiring on my Electromotive Setup.
See pic below: The oxygen sensor that came with this kit has a very short wire and then a huge connector that has to be mounted in the driver side rear wheel well. I hate the way this particular system is setup as it would have much easier if the wiring on the sensor end was longer than 1 foot. That said: 1) anyone have a good idea or know of a good bracket that I can use to mount this better? 2) Is it possible for me to buy another oxygen sensor with a longer wire and eliminate the huge connector that came with this setup? Vern,
I was not impress by the short leash either. On the engine tin (skirt) I cut the hole (by #1 spark plug) open, put a grommet around the cable and squish it in the holes. I may have had to enlarge the hole. Made the connection between #1 and #2 spark plugs. If the cable was longer I could have hide the connectors behind the fuse cover. ![]() ![]()

Engine tin grommet the sensor can pass through is what I did as well.
May have had more length on the Bosch O2 sensor that came with my innovate unit.

Thanks Guys!
I will work on this a bit. I initially drilled the hole in my tin to be equal to where the hole is on the Carrera's but at the time, I did not notice the short O2 wires. I may just have to start over. Vern |
